My brother in law tells a story about a tourist who got of the plane in Hawaii and asked:
“Do you pronounce in Hiwaii or HiVaii?”
“I pronounce it HiVaii.”
“Thank You”
“You’re Velcome”
The tourist should have asked: “Can you tell me the correct pronunciation?” The right question would have gotten the right answer.
One of the keys in he intelligence business is to have analysts who can ask, the right questions, and can make their answers known to decision makers.
Terry Mattingly makes a case that political correctness is blinding analysts, politicians and journalist to the role of belief in any political activity, let alone terroism. In many circles, belief is not even a topic for discussion. Please give Terry a reading.
