My friend Emily Sterret has just published a book on supervision. Here is the intro from her website: Hello, I'm Emily Sterrett, an experienced supervisor and manager whose mission in life is reducing stress in the workplace by developing great supervisors and managers. I'm an expert at building relationships at work -- relationships based on trust that dramatically increase the motivation and performance of your employees. I've helped thousands of people just like you with my training and coaching.
Now, by popular request, I've written a "how-to" book. No theory, no academic research, no leadership philosophy in this one! Just straight-to-the-point information that will teach you what to do next when you are feeling stuck. .
It is an e-book. You can order it on-line. If you are curious you can download three chapters free of charge.
One of the major problems in workplace spirituality is knowing how to "just do the next right thing". I should add, that the "just' part of it is important to me. I do better when I concentrate only on the what I'm doing now. I cant work on tasks that I haven't reached yet - but they sure can distract me.
Emily can help.
