Teacher Appreciation Night

Last night my wife and three other teachers went for dinner at Hamilton’s in Charlottesville. They are a team teaching 5th and 6th grade gifted students in Charlottesville. While in the restaurant they happened to meet a couple celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary. They chatted briefly with the couple about teaching their daughters. When they got ready to pay the bill – not small at this restaurant – the found that the anniversary couple had paid it in appreciation for their teaching. Great story. Puts me in the mood to send a few extra Christmas cards to people who have helped me through the year.
