From this morning's Washington Times, The National Collegiate Athletic Association created some wiggle room yesterday in its recent decision to ban American Indian imagery, announcing that it would give latitude to universities whose "namesake" tribe supports the mascot.
With all the problems of corruption, steroid use, and the glamorization of athletics, one wonders how the NCAA finds the time to accuse member schools of "politically incorrect" behavior. Maybe their moral outrage helps them to avoid looking at their own behavior- see my previous post.
