At this point I have nothing to offer on President Bush’s nomination of Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court. The issues associated with Culture Wars are clearly important – but, as of yet, I don’t have a handle on it.

I’d like to offer more. To me, the culture wars discussion is a core issue. Unfortunately, I just don’t have a handle on it. This is partly because very few journalists know how to write about religion.
There is also much to be learned about President Bush and how he makes decisions.
