This morning’s news offers a “target rich environment” for bloggers. This posting – and the next one – are occasioned by CIA director’s George Tenet’s resignation. Both fall under the category of “I told you so”.
The Washington Post makes the point that George Tenet will be remembered for assuring the President that the case for WMD in Iraq was a “slam dunk”. Similarly, Nixon will always be remembered for saying “I am not a crook” and Bill Clinton for saying “It depends on the what your definition of is, is.”
The Bishops (actually only four of them) are now associated for several generations with the question of Kerry and Communion. I’m sure that many will complain that this cartoon is anti-Catholic.
I can only respond that when the Bishops let someone else choose the sound bites and images, they froze the public perception and compromised an opportunity to preach the gospel, at least for the short term – meaning several generations.

...worth looking over, especially if you have forgotten that Iraqi's are smart.
